Somehow the much awaited let up from all the frantic goings on of December, which usually happens in January, just never happened. So this Alphabet Soup reaches you just after Chinese New Year instead, & right on time for Valentines Day! Resolutions of eating less eat & exercising more were never made at Tot Art. We have been concentrating on the mind & soul, & this soup is served up with a selection of forthcoming exhibitions & things to do with children over half term, information about term dates and the start of activity sheets to do with your children at a gallery, or at home, plus art books for children. My two boys found them fascinating & loved making video messages to send to the Artist from the video booths set up just next to the exhibition. Click for link to a video & more information Also free, there is an exhibition of work by 125 children at The SouthBank who have each recreated rooms from their homes in a shoebox - click for more information Again at The Southbank, on the 19th & 20th Feb ‘The Comic book gang’ hit The Clore Ballroom - click for more information On at The National Gallery over half term on Monday 21st, 22nd & 24th there are free action & rhythum art workshops, called ‘Make it move’ click for information On Saturday morning February 19th, in Putney, there is a Magic Sunglasses Workshop, based on a book of the same name & run by the author (who is lovely!).
