Running Art Workshops in your gallery make your gallery a focal point locally, bringing in additional custom & achieving press coverage.

Art Workshops are difficult to plan & prepare for. Children have become increasingly sophisticated & are not happy with a small piece of paper & a few coloured pencils any longer! Tot Art will write an Art Workshop for you which will give children (& therefore their parents!) a positive experience. Tot Art will provide the Artist to run the workshop, the materials & equipment needed & even handle the bookings for you.

All workshops are carried out by an qualified Artist or Designer, graduated from a recognised UK University or Art College, with experience of running creative and inspiring art workshops for children. Tot Art Artists have public liability insurance (up to £5M) & have undergone Enhanced Disclosure (Scotland) or CRB check (England & Wales).

Art workshop programmes are written by Wendy Briggs in collaboration with the Artist Art Workshop leader.  Wendy Briggs has 17 years teaching experience, appointed Head of Art for her first appointment at a Secondary school in Kent. Wendy went on to teach at another two secondary schools and lecture at Mid Kent College before setting up and creating a dynamic art department at a very prestigious London Preparatory School. Additionally, Wendy Briggs has won The National Artworks Award, presented by Sir Nicolas Serota, two consecutive years. Moving to Scotland in 2004, Wendy continued painting & taught part time at a well respected independent school. In 2005, at the same time as painting, teaching & bringing up 2 young sons, Wendy began to set up Tot Art. In 2009 Wendy, her husband & 2 sons, returned to London & based themselves in Wimbledon. In 2010 Wendy was running classes at a number of different local venues & in March 2011 Wendy moved all her classes to be based in one venue at 37 Worple Road, in a hall owned by Hillside Church.

Workshops may focus specifically on a current exhibition, a local event, something being studied by the local school....most needs can be accommodated. All materials & equipment (even overalls) are provided & included in the fee.
